OMG! EFCC discovered $1M at Alex Badeh's home

THE ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL CRIMES COMMISSION (EFCC)HAS REPORTEDLY RECOVERED $1M FROM THE HOUSE OF THE FORMER CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF (CDS), ALEX BADEH.

According to Punch, an EFCC source said:
“We have seized several properties belonging to Badeh. A few days ago, we returned to the mansion located at 6, Ogun River Street, Maitama.

“In the presence of several witnesses, including neighbours, we searched the house and recovered $1m in cash. The money has been lodged as evidence.”

The EFCC had earlier accused Badeh of laundering N3.9b from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) between January and December 2013.

The anti-graft agency also revealed that the former CDS used N1.4b belonging to the Airforce, to buy a mansion in Abuja.
It seems the former military chief, has a soft spot for properties, because so many properties have been reportedly listed in his name.

Reports say the property on 6, Ogun River Street, Maitama.is worth N1.1b
The ex-CDS’ family called for his release from EFCC custody saying he had surgery on his spine and was also suffering from a kidney condition.

Badeh has also been linked to a N4.4b fraud in the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
