LAGOS—Calm has since returned to troubled Mosaku street in Oshodi area of Lagos after gunmen suspected to be members of a rival faction of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Oshodi, shot dead one Olayinka Mamowora aka Mamok on Wednesday, September, 30.
Although no arrest had been made, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joe Offor, who confirmed the incident toVanguard, said the Police were on the trail of the killers.
According to him “we have been able to identify the killers of Olayinka Mamowora and we are on their trail.”
It will be recalled that on Wednesday, unidentified gunmen stormed Mosaku street, Oshodi, where they reportedly shot dead an aide of MC Oluomo.
Shot in the head several times
It was learned that the deceased was shot on the head several times inside a barbing saloon, a stone throw away from his residence.
Vanguard gathered that Olayinka was a very close ally of Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, MC Oluomo, the union’s State Treasurer
